This website was developed as part of a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) School for Public Health Research (SPHR) project, which aimed to use evidence generated from the Communities in Control (CiC) study to support public health approaches to community engagement.
The website and its materials were also funded with support from the following sources:
- ERSC Festival of Social Science
- NIHR CLAHRC North West Coast
- Lancaster University Impact Fund
Phase 3 of the CiC study is funded by the NIHR Public Health Research Programme.
Thanks to Local Trust and Big Local partnerships for supporting the research and all residents who have been actively involved with the study’s research and engagement activities since 2014. Thanks in particular to Michael Tye, Steve Colghan and Thomas Marshall (CiC resident network) who advised on the design and content of this site. Local Trust, People’s Health Trust and Public Health England provided wider advisory input to the project.
